Maria Villamil

Conventional and alternative food and fuel production systems in the Midwest region are being studied in the Department of Crop Sciences for their contributions to soil and environmental quality.

“My research vision is to provide the necessary tools and information needs of farmers to increase the sustainability of their practices by adapting current, and adopting new, profitable farming systems which afford protection of the environment and long-term productivity of agroecosystems,” Villamil said.
